Enticing aromas of vanilla, & mango are layered with apricots, crème brulee, & a slight minerality. Those scents are echoed as flavors on the palate, along w/ peach, & baking spices.

Patz and Hall Pinot Noir 2017 Sonoma Coast, CA  26/92                                                                                                                        Aromas of spicy, dried cherries, five-spice powder, cocoa and cranberry weave amongst fresh strawberries and kirsch liquor. Though nicely dense and full on the palate, the overt richness avoids heaviness with fresh acidity and bright berry fruit flavors that resolve on a long and detailed finish.

Justin Isosceles 2018  Paso Robles, CA  35/126                                                                                                                               A classic blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon 8% Cabernet Franc and 9% Merlot. Full-bodied with ripe black cherry and blackcurrant fruit complemented with baking spice and oak notes on entry. Sustained fruit and spice are joined by savory autumn leaf, cedar and leather on the mid-palate with mouth filling, fine tannins that lead into a long, complex and balanced finish with attractive fruit, spice, cedar and subtle camphor notes

Bella Union Cabernet Sauvignon 2016  Napa Valley, CA  42/148                                                                                                Upon first sip, Bella Union offers exuberant plum and black cherry aromas. The wine is luscious with supple tannins that provide a framework for longevity. The finish lingers with persistent fruit flavors and notes of toasty oak, black pepper and espresso bean.

Freemark Abbey Merlot 2017  Napa Valley, CA  26/92                                                                                                                  Youthful dark ruby color, the 2017 merlot expresses the depth of mountain fruit, particularly Howell mtn, with ripe blackberry, Santa Rosa plum and dark cherry. With nuances of arugula, Horehound, black pepper and sage, adding to the briary complexity, this wine is very stimulating to the senses. The spicy oak is well integrated with the abundance of aroma. The mountain tannins are firm yet subtle, giving structure to the bed of dark red fruit.

My Favorite Neighbor Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 Paso Robles, CA  27/94                                                                                   This wine features a complex nose of red cherry, currant, and raspberry along with wild herbs, violets, and just a hint of toasted marshmallow. On the palate, generous flavors of black cherry, ripe plum, and fig compote is joined by notes of medium roast coffee and crème brûlée. The extremely long and mineral finish is characterized by a hefty structure and luxurious, silky tannins.
